International Summer Concerts in Frederiksborg Castle Chapel
Welcome to this year's International Summer Concerts at Frederiksborg Castle Chapel.
International renowned organists from Denmark, Spain, Hungary, Great Britain, France and the US will play on the three historic organs at the Castle Chapel. Every concert begins on the unique world heritage organ built by Esaias Compenius in 1610. In the second half the organists have free choice to use either the Marcussen & Son organ from 1863 or the modern P.G. Andersen organ from 1972 - or both! After the concerts you are welcome to join us at the back of the church for a glass of wine or water. Here you can also meet and greet the artist.
Half an hour before the concert one of the Castle Chapel Organists entertain with music played on the 1886 carillon, the first of its art in Denmark. If the wheather is nice do enjoy the music of the charming historic bells while stralling through the baroque gardens before the organ concert inside the Chapel.
We look forward to welcoming you to the 51st Festival of International Summer Concerts in cooperation between The National Museum at Frederiksborg Palace and the Castle Chapel!
